FLOYD MUSIC SCHOOL

Educated at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Ontario, Canada, Mike Mitchell began playing the violin at the age of five.  His passion for music led him to a string performance major at Youngstown State University, and more than 10 years of national touring with rock and acoustic ensembles.

Currently, Mike performs with the acclaimed mountain music group, Blue Moonshine.  He lives in Floyd, Virginia with his wife and two children.

Mike's passion for music has lead him to found the Floyd Music School, which is located on the second floor of the Old Country Store in Floyd, Virginia. He welcomes all levels of students at his school.  For more information about scheduling lessons call 540-745-6271.
